| The DCM-200 is a two-way DOCSIS™ 1.0 CableLabs® Certified™ Ethernet 10Base-T Cable Modem. The DCM-200 provides high-speed Internet access over a cable network and can connect to a computer via its Ethernet or USB port, which connects to an Ethernet card in a PC or a laptop. The DCM-200 provides intelligent IP allocation management, which can be configured to work on a Static or DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) network. For security purposes, the DCM-200 provides 56-bit DES (Data Encryption Standard) to encrypt data transaction for both upstream and downstream transmission. The DCM-200 has a maximum downloading speed at 42.88Mbps (256 QAM) and a maximum uploading speed at 10.2Mbps (16 QAM). The DCM-200 uses the Reed-Solomon error correction method for data packet integrity. For SNMP remote management, the DCM-200 uses MIB II and MCNS MIB. It also comes with four easy-to-read LED indicators to show the connection status of the DCM-200 cable modem. The DCM-200 is easy to install and is compatible with Windows 95, 98/98 SE, Me, NT 4, 2000, XP, Mac OS, Unix, and other popular operating systems.
